You must be at least 21 years old to rent a car in Greece and have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.

Upon pickup, you must provide a valid driver’s license, passport or ID card, and a credit card for the security deposit. The renter’s name must match on all documents.

Yes, but you must inform a company representative at least one day in advance to arrange an after-hours return.

Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis, with a 1-hour grace period beyond the agreed return or pickup time.

The guarantee covers the rental company in case something goes wrong during your reservation.

The guarantee covers any damage that may be caused to the vehicle while you are in possession of it.

Also, if you return the vehicle with less fuel than was delivered to you, this amount will be deducted from the guarantee.

You may also be charged for cleaning the car if you return it very dirty.

If of course there is no problem upon returning the vehicle, the amount will be refunded in full.

When is the charge made and how?

You can pay the security deposit when you pick up the vehicle with cash or debit card.

Credit, prepaid and other cards are not accepted.

The release of the deposit may take up to 14 business days and will be reflected in your debit card balance.

If the deposit was paid in cash, it will be refunded immediately upon return of the vehicle at the end of the rental period, provided that no other charges are incurred.

Whatever the amount requested as a deposit, the company can only keep your money for the period of time that you own the vehicle.

When you return the vehicle and the rental company assesses that it is in good condition, it is obliged to return the deposit in full.

Can I avoid paying a deposit for the vehicle I want to rent?

There is a possibility that you can avoid the deposit if you choose full insurance on the vehicle.
